How to do it
On a Pixel, open Settings > Network & internet > Internet.
Tap the saved network, then Forget.
On a Samsung phone, open Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi, tap the gear next to the network, then Forget.
Join the network again.
If the network is not in the list, the phone has already forgotten it. The spinning connection is then a signal or a password problem, not a stale profile.
