- Fix: turn on Low Power Mode on iPhone
- Cheat sheet
How to do it
Open Settings > Battery and turn Low Power Mode on.
Or open Control Center and tap the battery icon, if you have added that control.
Leave it on until you can charge. The phone offers to turn it off once the battery is back up.
Mail fetch, background app refresh, and some visual effects slow down. Phone calls and the next hour of maps are not the things it cuts.
iOS also offers to enable it automatically at 20 percent. That prompt is enough for most days. Turn it on earlier if you already know the afternoon is long.
