How to do it
Open Settings > Digital Wellbeing and parental controls.
Open Dashboard and choose the app.
Tap the hourglass and set the daily time.
When the time is up, the app closes. Open it again only if you mean to.
Without a parental-control PIN, you can override the timer. It is a speed bump, not a lock. That is still enough for a lunch-break app.
Questions people ask
Can I get around the timer?
Yes, unless parental controls lock it. It's a speed bump, and that's often enough.
Does the timer reset every day?
Yes, at midnight.
